Het lijkt idd toch wel onmogelijk dat Ferrari zomaar zo'n enorme achterstand oploopt, zeker na een ultradominant seizoen als vorig jaar. Met een doorontwikkelde, nieuwe wagen zouden ze toch minstens moeten kunnen meestrijden met Toyota en Williams, zelfs Renault. Het is heel duidelijk dat Bridgestone de zwarte piet toegeschoven krijgt én in feite ook verdient.
Natuurlijk hebben ze dit ook aan zichzelf te danken, niks daarvan. Dat komt ervan als je je jarenlang op één team vastpint. Ooit keert het tij, 2005 is dat keerpunt. Het succes is behaald, de concurrentie is vernederd, en nu begint de 'afgang'.
