Een dergelijk systeem hebben ze ook al eens voorgesteld bij de F1 maar dat is om verschillende redenen (nog?) niet van de grond gekomen. Of een dergelijk systeem dit ongeval had kunnen voorkomen?
Ondanks het trieste ongeval zijn de Amerikaanse coureurs en vakmensen niet al te rouwig om dit ongeluk:
