Zakspeed terug naar het DTM met Ford? Ze blijven eigenwijs.
Zakspeed wil terug naar het DTM, na een mislukt avontuur in 2000 met de zelfgebouwde Volvo C70 (?). Een verbod van Volvo op het gebruik van die wagen in de DTM was voor de ITR destijds voldoende om Zakspeeds plannen te dwarsbomen.
Die wagen heeft toen nog enkele wedstrijden gereden in de Langstreckenpokal.
Dit keer pakt Peter Zakowski het slimmer aan. Ditmaal met goedkeuring (en centjes) van een fabrikant. Zakspeed is aan het flirten met Ford..............maar Ford is nog niet ingegaan op de avances van Zakspeed.
Ford Europa ziet meer heil in het WRC, Ford Duitsland heeft het WTCC 2008 als doel. Desondanks bijft Zakowski optimistisch. Bron: Motorsport Aktuell.
