Wat een rare koers vannacht. Redelijk onverwacht heeft Dario Franchitti deze wedstrijd gewonnen, met dank aan Marco Andretti die met zijn wagen de lucht in ging. Full course yellow, Franchitti die een ander pit-regime had dan de rest en de volgende bui die ervoor zorgde dat de wedstrijd afgevlagd werd.
Per direct een hekel aan zijn vrouw Ashley Judd, dat mens eiste alle aandacht op. De eerste reactie van Franchitti jegens zijn vrouw sprak boekdelen
