The day started badly for the British GT field, with the news that the RPM Ford GT3 would be taking no further part in the meeting after Philip Walker shunted at Rivage the previous day. The impact hadn’t been hugely violent, but the front splitter and rear wing were both damaged beyond immediate repair and spares could not be sourced in time.
