The FIA, in cooperation with the teams, has proposed changes to protect the future of the F3000 International series, reports Swiss weekly Motorsport Aktuell. In the second half of the 2003 season, the races will take place on Sunday mornings at the F1 meetings, before the Porsche Super Cup events. The name 'Formula 3000' (first used in 1985) is likely to be replaced by 'Formula 2' in 2004
