Geweldige klapper van de ETCC BMW MDM-De Laat/Broersma die op eerste plaats lag in hun klasse in de laatste 7 minuten van de wedstrijd. Onder druk van de E(W?)TCC BMW van het Russiche City Motorsport Moscow die op de 2de plaats lag in de klasse, knalde de gele ETCC BMW vol met de neus in de banden van de Kumho-bocht. De voorkant is een halve meter korter geworden, benieuwd of de ETCC BMW MDM-De Laat/Broersma er weer bij is op 11-2.

Nou nou, zo'n geweldige klapper was het ook weer niet, zou eerder willen spreken van een reguliere crash. Klassiek 'overstekertje'. Schade was inderdaad groot.
De Kumho/Mitsibushi/Grandoradobocht is zo'n typische natweerbocht, als het droog is, gebeurt er geen flikker, maar als het nat is des te meer! Achterwielaandrijvers hebben het daar extra lastig net zoals bij het uitkomen van de Tarzan- en Nissan/Audi S-bocht. Het aantal spins in die laatste waren ontelbaar maar omdat de snelheid daar een stuk lager ligt, loopt het vaker zonder schade af. De Bianchibocht op Zolder is ook een mooi voorbeeld van zo'n typische natweerbocht. Blijft wel verbazingwekkend dat de BMW in kwestie bijna 4 uur lang zonder (noemenswaardige) problemen door die bocht is gereden en met de finish in zicht brokken maakt....

JR Motorsport zet leuke wagens op het circuit (zowel wat betreft techniek als livery). In hoeverre is dit een WTCC wagen? De motor is natuurlijk anders, maar hoe zit het b.v. met de ophanging. Last edited by FIRE; 08-01-2007 at 21:44.
