GP Masters 2007, de aanloop..........
Seizoen 2006 was vroeger afgelopen dan voorzien, de laatste wedstrijd is niet eens meer verreden gezien de ernstige motorproblemen. Voor 2007 zijn er enkele grote verandering voorzien:
- Motorleverancier Nicholson McLaren kan vertrekken; - Mecachrome neemt het over met "gepimpte" GP2 motoren. 630 PK i.p.v. 580 PK; - Banden zullen slicks van Michelin worden; - De krasse knarren laten nu ook jonge honden toe  Minimum leeftijd is nu 40  Kalender 2007 onder voorbehoud: - jan Losail / Quatar - mar Kyalami / - april/juni Duitsland. Nurburgring of Hockenheim.......afhankelijk van evenement - sept Brands Hatch - okt Australie. Merlbourne of Perth Spa en Monza zijn van de radar verdwenen voor seizoen 2007. Bron: MSA nr. 48

Noem me een doemdenker maar de laatste berichten stemmen tot weinig vreugde:
In een artikel van Autosport (29-03) komen toch enkele zaken naar voren die weinig positief zijn. Nicholson McLaren heeft een nog rekening gestuurd voor enkele kapotte motoren, ai..... Er is sprake van een 2de investeringsronde voor deze serie, ai...... De eerste wedstrijd van 2007 in Boekarest staat op losse schroeven. De Roemenen hebben nog niets betaald aan GPM. Reden van de achterstallige betaling? De geruchten omtrent een mogelijk failliet van GPM. Beetje een kip-ei situatie ai..........M.a.w., er gaan een hoop geruchten de ronde achter de schermen

Als alles volgens planning gaat dan mogen de krasse knarren volgende week van start gaan voor de eerste race van het seizoen 2007! Kylami is de plaats van handeling. Om de coureurs al een jaartje ouder zijn sluit men het seizoen af op 17 november in Qatar voor de tweede en laatste race van dit seizoen.
