Deze heeft ook op de testdag van Belcar op Spa gereden, niet?
Klaus Zwart was eigenaar als ik me nog herinner.. en had die geen interesse in nationale kampioenschappen? Belcar of Spaanse GT?
En betreft denk ik toch meer GT2 dan GT1... tenzij Mark iets anders weet?

Was destijds een discussiepunt voor Belcar. Op de testdag kwam men tot de constatering dat men in klasse 1 niets te zoeken had. Klasse 2 lag moeilijk vanwege motor-inhoud e.d. Dat was al de voorbode voor een verloren Belcar-seizoen

Ik was vergeten dat een Brits team (Damax?) met een Ascari GT2 mee wilde doen in British GT, echter dit werd geweigerd omdat de wagen een carbon chassis heeft. Is de Ascari GT2 volledig GT2? Is de GT2 wel toegestaan in FIA GT of LMS?

Zonder de reglementen te raadplegen ................maar redenerend met een gezond boerenverstand. In het Brits GT 2 geweigerd vanwege een carbon-chassis. Dan moet FIA GT2 ook onmogelijk zijn....... Het zijn beide SRO-kampioenschappen met zo goed als identieke reglementen.

Als ik zoek op "carbon" in het "FIA GT2 Technical Regulations" document dan vind ik alleen deze paragraaf:

5.2.6) The following are forbidden unless fitted on the road

Variable valve timing (*)
Variable length/diameter inlet systems (*)
Variable geometry turbo/superchargers (*)
Titanium, except for connecting rods, valves and valve retainers,

which are described on the Homologation form
Ceramic components
Carbon or composite materials, except when used in clutches
and non-stressed covers, lids or ducts.
(*) These devices cannot be modified, but they can be neutralised

Dus volgens deze paragraaf zou het geen probleem mogen zijn. Misschien is het Britse GT niet op alle punten gelijk aan FIA GT? In Belcar zijn er toch ook wat onduidelijkheden geweest omtrend de GLPK Corvette?

in het brits gt hebben bij da laatste race 2 ascari's mee gereden.. wel de gt3 versie.. maar wat een prestaties..
race 1 => 4de en 8ste algemeen en 1ste en 3de in klasse gt3
race 2 => 4de en 6de algemeen en 1ste en 3de in klasse gt3

ik zou het mooi vinden moest hier een gt2 van mee doen in fia gt ! want dat zijn echt super mooie wagens !!!

Ik vind dat ze die blauwe GT2 gelijk moeten toelaten, vind het een juweel van een auto. Schitterende details zoals de achtervleugel. Verder zijn ze echt bijzonder goed geprepareerd, voor zo'n klein merk (met een flinke nederlandse tint!) is het echt een zeer goed afgewerkte racer. Alle details zijn simpelweg goed uitgedacht en afgewerkt, wat je nog wel eens anders wilt zien bij dergelijke kleine teams.

Van mij mogen ze er ook dadelijk mee beginnen racen. Ik verkies de grijze, maar zou het rood door lichtblauw vervangen ...

Gaat me niet om de kleur maar om het model. De blauwe is de GT2 versie, en die heeft een bredere bodykit en grotere achtervleugel. Nog nét even wat mooier dan de GT3 versie
