Audi? Waarom die een F3-motor ontwikkelen.........geen idee. Of zou daar het F1-project weer uit de kast gehaald zijn? Nu MB en BMW weer in de F1 zitten kan die andere Duitse groep niet achterblijven
Waarom zou Sauber/BMW meteen zijn talenten uit de Formule BMW halen? Die klasse gewoon té traag om meteen de overstap te wagen naar F1. Ik ben ervan overtuigd dat BMW zal kiezen voor een ervaren piloot en een jonge piloot uit de GP2 Series, waarbij de naam Nico Rosberg meteen een licht moet doen branden. Werd in 2002 kampioen in de Formule BMW en mocht dan, dankzij BMW testen bij Williams en is nu officiële testrijder van BMW. BMW neemt Rosberg dus mee naar het eigen team als racepiloot.

Wat de F3 betreft. Ik zie niet helemaal in waarom Audi een F3-motor zou ontwikkelen. F3 is totaal niet hun doelgroep en het heeft weinig zin om aan de hand van prestaties met de Audi F3-motor een rijderskeuze te maken voor Le Mans,... Audi kan uit voldoende raceklassen (afgedankte F1-piloten, ...) piloten kiezen met het nodige talent. Tom Kristensen reed ook in Japan met Toyota's en Mugen Honda's, vooraleer hij überhaupt een Audi (-motor) bestuurde.

Klopt, vandaar dat ze nu dan ook waarschijnlijk iets in de F3 gaan doen. Dat maakt de overgang van de juniors in de F BMW naar de F1 al een stuk kleiner. M.a.w., ze kunnen hun talenten langer onder BMW vlag laten rijden.

Tja, dan Audi..........dat vond ik ook opmerkelijk. Echter de verhalen, uit betrouwbare bron, dat Audi enkele maanden geleden op gesprek is geweest bij Bridgestone's Kees van der Grindt krijgen meteen een hele andere lading MB, BMW zijn zeer actief in de F1, dan kan de VAG groep niet achterblijven......we beginnen maar eens met F3

Vandaag een harde ontkenning van Mario Thiessen dat BMW bezig is met een F3-motor. Pure speculaas van die Italianen? Of is ontkenning de eerste vorm van bevestiging?

wel over de volkswagen F3 motor. Spiess is aan het kijken of ze niet beter naar VW kunnen overstappen omdat er bij Opel toch geen groot budget is. Verder is er nog altijd melding dat BMW en Audi aan iets werken zegt autosport 8/9

Ik vind die titel een beetje misleidend. Volgens de titel zou ik vermoeden dat Spiess een volledig eigen motor (dus zonder Opel) gaat ontwikkelen en bouwen, maar uiteindelijk gaan ze zich toch alweer baseren op een Opel-motor en de motor met Opel bouwen.

Krijgen we toch een BMW F3 motor. In 2007 zal RC Motorsport twee Dallara-BMW's aan de start brengen van de Euroseries. De basis van de motor is het nieuwe WTCC-blok (versie 2007) van BMW, eerste test is voorzien op 10 januari ergens in warmig en zonnig Zuid-Spanje. Het gaat volgens een BMW een prive-project Bron: Autosport 28-09

Is er veel verschil tussen een F3 motor en een (S2000) toerwagen motor?


Prive project...als het niks wordt dan horen we er niks meer van en anders stapt BMW in 2008 or 2009 officieel in?

Van de Audi geruchten heb ik niks meer gelezen.

Klinkt wel logisch overigens. Een privateer BMW in de Euroseries tegen een fabrieks Mercedes, dat zal de afdeling marketing van BMW niet leuk vinden Dan maar Deutsche eenheidsworsten in het lokale kampioenschap.

Hopelijk wordt dat wat met die BMW-motoren en zijn ze sterk genoeg om het duel aan te gaan met de Mercedes'.

Voor wanneer zijn de BMW F3 motoren? 2007 al? welke teams gaan ze gebruiken?

Zowieso fantastisch nieuws voor de (Euroseries) F3 die nu al barst van de fabriekssteun op alle vlakken...

Het komt de competitie alleen maar tengoede...

Ik heb er niks meer van gehoord.

Wel las ik weeeeken terug dat men in de Spaanse F3 gaat rijden met Fiat (Abarth) motoren! Het gaat om een contract van 3 jaar tot 2009, voordien reden ze in Spanje met toyota motoren.
