De Euro GT Series telt drie klassen: EGT1, EGT2 en (jawel) EGT3. Reglementair leunen deze klassen tegen de FIA-standaard, al zijn er enkele uitzonderingen. In de snelste klasse EGT1 wordt bijvoorbeeld niet met luchtinlaatrestrictors gewerkt. Organisator Hein Hartman verwacht dat de krachtigste auto’s over 700 pk beschikken. Elk weekeinde bestaat in principe uit twee races van 40 minuten elk. Volgens medeorganisator Anja Hartman hebben zich inmiddels al achttien rijders aangemeld.
De organisatie van de klasse is nog in onderhandeling over tv-uitzendingen. De races worden in ieder geval wel live op internet uitgezonden.

Naar het schijnt wil Swiss Racing met 4 V8Stars aan de start komen........en er circuleren nog enkele V8Stars boven de voorlopige Euro GT deelnemerslijst. Krijgen we een laatste V8Star revival?

Niet de laatste, want in Engeland gaan ze er dit jaar ook nog mee rijden in het nieuwe V8 kampioenschap wat met de Britcars op tour gaat.

De stand per 20-02 is dat er reeds 20 vaste inschrijvingen voor het gehele seizoen zijn. Dat gaat dus een heel leuk jaar worden Merendeel van de wagens komt uit in de klasse EGT1. Her en der nog wat gasten, als herstart van de serie geen slecht begin.

Goh, dat is toch wel een snelle interventie van de FIA na 5 jaar Is er niet zoiets als een gewoonte-recht. Dit is weer een typisch staaltje miereneuken van de FIA.

F3 Euroseries is een onderdeel van de ITR. De DTM is een "FIA sanctioned Event"........dan zal het met de F3 Euroseries ook wel in orde zijn. Via de DMSB / FFSA zal dat wel geregeld zijn.
