In de Autosport van deze week een grote advertentie van Pouchelon Racing. Ze zoeken coureurs voor het FIA GT3 kampioenschap. Pouchelon is ondere andere bekend van zijn activiteiten in de Europese Megane Cup.

Ze laten niks los over het soort wagen waarmee men gaat (wil?) rijden. Als het reglement stipt wordt toegepast dan dienen ze drie wagens in te zetten. In nog geen enkel gerucht heb ik de naam van Pouchelon voorbij zien komen.

Gaan we dan daadwerkelijk startvelden hebben van 50 wagens?

Lotus haakt af voor 2006. Team Cadena zal in 2006 van start gaan in het Brits GT met de Lotus Exige.

Ik zie op de website van Reiter dat de Gallardo GT3 klaar is. De technische gegevens staan althans online en spreken over Rear Wheel Drive: zie hier. De Gallardo GT3 Race is extra op uitgebreid dieet geweest (door 4WD te verwijderen): 1190 kg i.p.v. 1280 kg (in eerste FIA GT3 brochure) tegenover 1430 kg (standaard). En ze gebruiken de laatste versie van de V10: 520 pk i.p.v. 500 pk vroeger.

Die zwarte is de Murcielago R-GT en de orange de Gallardo GTR (ontwikkeld voor VLN).

Toch wel afgang dat de Murcielago R-GT niet veel sneller is dan de GT3 wagens en zelfs de Gallardo. Nog steeds het vermogen tekort?

Beetje voorbarig om dat te roepen zonder dat je weet wat ze aan het testen waren. Wat als ze race-setups aan het testen waren? Of kijken hoe de wagen zich gedraagt met volle tanks of versleten banden? Plus dat er gentlemen op die wagen zaten aangezien Bouchut met de GT3's aan het spelen was.

Op infoscourse.org wordt gemeld dat Peter Kox aanwezig was om de Gallardo te testen. Raar dat Kox dan niet even plaats genomen heeft in de Murcielago van Reiter.

Tevens wordt vermeld dat de B-Racing vooral Dunlop rubber aan het testen was en in de voormiddag wat problemen met de versnellingsbak had.

Inderdaad misschien allemaal wat voorbarig van mij, maar het viel gewoon op. We zullen morgen zien om de tijden verbeteren.

De plaatsing van de uitlaat op de GT3 versie van de Gallardo vind ik niet geslaagd:


Ter vergelijking de Gallardo GTR (AWD versie):


De achtervleugel lijkt een verbetering.

Het lijkt dat deze wagen in hun onbeperkte vorm (zoals ze nu rijden) zelfs sneller kunnen zijn dan GT2 wagens. Wel logisch omdat het vermogen van GT2 beperkt wordt via restrictoren: een Porsche 911 GT3 RSR weegt 1100 kg en de 3.6 boxer produceert ca. 445 pk, terwijl Corvette Z06R GT3 1210 kg weegt en 515 pk heeft. Alles hangt er natuurlijk van af hoe welke layout van Paul Ricard gebruikt wordt (lange rechte stukken of veel bochten).

54 wagens - om eerlijk te zijn had ik nooit gedacht dat de FIA GT3 zo'n groot succes zouden worden.
